Spain Synthetic helmet (˜1980)
In this collection since: 28.12.2015
0736 Fire helmet from Spain. The red helmet is made of fiberglass. While the surface is smoothed outside, it is raw inside. The helmet was used around 1980. Its external shape is reminiscent of the German fire brigade helmets made of aluminum. However, the rear area is pulled very far back. The helmet comb is also very massive and part of the helmet shell. The leather inner helmet is attached to the helmet with four splints. Also the leather chin strap. The helmet should have been used in units of the forest fire. At the front is the badge of the autonomous community of Madrid. The autonomous community of Madrid is one of 17 Spanish regions. It includes the metropolitan area around the capital Madrid. The badge has been in use since 1967. The manufacturer of the helmet is unknown.
