Fire helmet from Germany. The fire protection helmet was built after the military steel helmet M1934, but it has a sharp-edged approach of the neck protector, which was prescribed as a fire protection helmet by order dated 26.04.1934. Emblems on the helmet according to the regulation of 28.07.1934 show on the left the German eagle of the fire protection police as on the cap, on the right the black Hakenkreuz in a round, white field on red shield. The comb was taken in 1940 by order of the Chief of the Ordnungspolizei, the holes should be closed with flat-rounded rivets. But this has not happened. Embossing on the back: lying lion D.R.P. A. The helmet is therefore to be dated to 1943. On the front is the inscription "CIVIL FIRE SERVICE - FEUERWEHR". The helmet was further used by the fire brigades after the war and marked with this inscription as a fire brigade. See helmets 0383 and 0173, Germany. |
