Steel helmet (˜1950)
In this collection since: 25.04.2015 |

Fire helmet from Denmark. The black metal helmet corresponds to the German fire helmets M34. (See helmet 0049 Germany). These helmets were created before the Second World War and were worn until the 1970s. In contrast to the German helmets, these helmets had a brass comb. While other helmets of this type have simple brass combs (see helmet 664/770), this helmet has a brass comb with flange. On the front is the insignia of Vordingborg Fire Brigade in the Zealand region. In addition to the organization Falck (see helmet 511), there are fire brigades in the larger municipalities and cities. They differ in the black helmet color and their own helmet coat. In some fire brigades, here is only a general fire brigade badge consisting of a helmet and crossed water nozzles and ax to be seen. (See Helmets 175, 664 Denmark). Today (2015) the fire protection is carried out by the organization Falck. |
