| 0510 | Fire helmet from the Netherlands. The helmet was built by the British company Pyrene Panorama from Brentford (now Chubb, Sunbury on Thames, UK). The company was primarily known for their fire extinguishers. The white fiberglass helmet is oriented in shape and attachment of the inner helmet to the helmet number 509, the Solly Zuckerman helmet from 1940, but it is also very similar to the French Petitcollin helmet, which was built around 1950 for the French Red Cross. The helmet was made in June 1958. The simple adjustment of the inner helmet was completed by a cord. The helmet was built for the head size 61/4 bis 71/4. The chin strap is like the inner helmet from fabric. On the leather headband, the company "Panorama REGD" is stamped. REGD stands for "registered" So a registered trademark. The helmet was used in the Netherlands at the fire department. Mostly plant fire brigades were equipped with these helmets. The badge of the Dutch fire service is located at the front as it was worn in the period 1980-2010. In addition stands on the coat of arms: WIJ KOMEN ERAAN! To English: We are coming! But the appropriate badge for this helmet would be the former Dutch fire brigade badge, as it is seen in helmet number 428. | ||||||||||
