Paraguay Synthetic helmet (˜1980)
In this collection since: 07.03.2013
0505 Fire helmet from Paraguay. The red fire helmet is made of fiberglass. Its external shape is similar to the helmets of ED Bullard sold in 1970 under the brand name "Hard Boiled". (See helmets 142/239) Strikingly, the three ridges that was so common only in a model from South Korea around 1960. (See helmet 212). The absence lettering, which are embedded in "Hard Boiled" helmets in the neck guard and a different arrangement of the inner helmet attachment suggest that the helmet was not built by Bullard. On the inner helmet made of polyethylene, the character "Industria Argentina" is embedded. The sign is not for a company but for a quality standard which was created by the Argentine Ministry of Labour. The inner helmet is attached at 8 points on the helmet bowl. It can be adjusted in size. A chin strap made of leather is present; it also can be adjusted in length. At the front a cockade is glued on. It shows the colors red, white and blue. The colors are the colors of Paraguay. The helmet was used in the 1980.
