Guten Tag
ich habe mit Interesse Ihre Seite gesehen. Ich und
mein Papa sind beide in der feuerwehr aktiv
gewesen. Leider musste mein Papa auf grund einer
Krankheit den Beruf als Feuerwehrmann aufgeben. Er
interessiert sich für den Feuerwehrhelm aus
New York und möchte gerne einen Deutschen
Helm mit einem aus New York tauschen. Ist das bei
Ihnen möglich und wie genau Funktioniert das
mit dem tausch.? Ich würde mich sehr freuen
wenn sie mir weiter helfen könnten da es eine
Überraschung für meinen Papa werden
soll. Vielen Dank im vorraus

Hello from Greece. I just discovered your website,
and i really like your fantastic collection. You
are a very good and really organized collector,
with real interest about each items history....
This can be shown in the descriptions you have in
each helmet....
I would like to let you know the item 0107 is
dated after 1975...normally in the 80\'s , the
shape of the helmet and the emblem shows also
this. The emblem on this one is of the Hellenic
Republic....
Item 174 is older.... but once more not so old as
mentioned.... Really old helmets have in the
interior of the top protective metal
\"top\" of the helmet....a smaller one
(similar...but not so high and wide..)
The emblem with the phonix , was worn during the
latest dictatorship period of Greece (probably
1972-1974) . Just some years ago it was exactly
the same, but instead of the phonix there was a
crown. The emblems of the 1930 were completely
different.... After the fall of the dictatorship,
they were using the emblem like this, but with the
phonix removed by hand or tools!!!! It took some
months until they build the new emblem you have in
the helmet 107
Concerning the 274 greek helmet.... It was in use
since 1980 as i know only from fire officers...
There are several photos of officers wearing them
in big cities. But i really dont know how they
were choosing who had right in a modern helmet
like this at that period.... !!!! It wasn\'t in
use only by airport firefighters....
The helmets the succeeded this one were Nickel F1
for firefighters and sub-officers , and
photo-luminescent Rosenbauer Heros for fire
officers (lieutenant and higher.....)

Hallo an alle Helmsammler. Auch wir haben eine
stattliche Sammlung alter und aktueller
Feuerwehrhelme. Allerdings ist Eure Seite deutlich
informativer. Würden uns trotzdem über
einen Gegenbesuch auf unserer Seite freuen.
