Aluminum helmet (˜1985)
In this collection since: 21.10.2017 |
0988 |
Fire helmet from the Netherlands. The aluminum helmet was manufactured in Germany in 1985. Because since January 1962 the DIN 14940 is valid, this helmet is built according to this DIN standard. The stamping with the DIN is inside the neck protection. For the use in the Dutch fire department, the aluminum comb was added. The comb is not provided in DIN 14940. Compared to helmet number 0722, the Netherlands, the attachment of the inner helmet according to DIN 14940 is executed. On the helmet is the general fire service sign made of plastic. There is a black, circumferential, thin strip. This is the rank rating for a "Bevelvoerder".
Here is the complete rank designation. Today however the stripes are red:
A thin red stripe
"Bevelvoerder" - (Commander) leader of a fire truck, squad leader
Two thin red stripes
"Officier van Dienst" - (officer of duty), platoon commander
Three red stripes
"Hoofd Officier van Dienst" - (chief officer of the service), department commander
A wide red stripe
"Commandant" - (commander), overall commander
A thin and a wide red stripe
"Regionaal Commandant" - (Region Commander), district fire chief
