Denmark Steel helmet (˜1950)
In this collection since: 09.10.2017
0983 Fire helmet from Denmark. The black metal helmet corresponds to the German fire fighter helmets M34. (see helmet 0049 Germany). These helmets were built before the Second World War and were worn until around 1970. Like the German helmets, these helmets had an aluminum comb while other helmets of this type had brass combs. At the front there is the badge of the fire department of Odder in the Jutland region. In addition to the organization Falck (see helmet 511), there are in the larger municipalities and cities own fire departments. They differ in the black helmet color and their own helmet coat of arms. In some fire departments here is only a general fire service sign consisting of a helmet and crossed beam and ax to see. (see helmets 175, 664 Denmark). On the right outside, the helmet have the cockade of Denmark. The colors are red-white-red. On the left side is only the brass button without cockade. On the inner helmet of plastic you find the inscription "Schuberth Werk Braunschweig" and "Made in W- Germany". Next to it is the text "Type-g" and a reference to DIN4840.
See helmets 0664 and 0663, Denmark.
