Fire helmet from Austria. The aluminum helmet was worn by the fire department of the city of Vienna. For more information about this kind of helmets, see helmet 0494, Austria. While each state has its own coat of arms on the helmet, here is the badge of the city of Vienna appropriate. The polished aluminum helmet is lightly reddish flocked inside, the inner helmet is made by the German company Römer according to DIN 4840. A stamp indicates that the helmet was built in 1980. The inner helmet was fastened to the helmet shell with rivets. The chin strap has a panic lock. The white ring on the outside was used by the ranks Löschmeister to Hauptbrandmeister (Group- and Platoonleaders). |
