| 0947 | Fire helmet from France. The brass helmet dates from 1895. The helmet of a firefighter rank was worn by the fire department of the city of Lyon. The helmet follows the predecessor number 0025, France which is essentially the same. A striking difference is the attachment of the helmet crest. While the comb is attached to the predecessor with continuous rivets, the comb is here fastened with two screws from the inside. The special feature of this helmet is the badge on the front. The badge corresponds to the badges of this time, but it has the coat of arms of Lyon instead of the usual grenade. See helmets 0541 and 0579, France | ||||||
