In this collection since: 15.04.2017 |
0916 |
Fire helmet from Germany. The leather helmet shown here is probably one of the most built leather helmets in Germany. The helmet was made in the period after the First World War. It was derived from the M15 used in the German Army. Often the army helmet M15 was also converted to a fire helmet. The helmet has a brass comb, the frontbrim was originally framed with brass, the side cockades for attaching the chin strap are replaced by lion heads in this helmet. The helmet was worn in the period between 1915 and 1934. At the front, the coat of arms of Bavaria can be seen. The manufacturer of the helmet is unknown.
See helmet number 0791, Germany.
