Fire helmet from Estonia. The helmet is called WZ50. He was built in Poland. His role model was the steel helmet Ssh-40 from Russia. (see helmet 0032, Russia). The WZ50 was used by the army in Poland, but it was also built for export to the neighboring countries of the Eastern Bloc. For the employment with the fire-brigade the helmet received a comb. The inner helmet consists of 3 pieces of leather attached to a metal ring. The leather pieces are lined with filler. The chin strap made of leather was attached separately to the helmet bell. There are no stamps or references to the manufacturer in the helmet. At the front of the helmet is the inscription B-12135. |
