Fire helmet from Vietnam. The helmet comes from the professional fire brigade of the city of Saigon (since 1976 Ho Chi Minh City). The helmet was made around 1965 from cast aluminum. The Adrian helmets that was used in France between 1950 and 1970 were used as templates. The comb was riveted to the helmet bell. The function of the helmet ventilation over the comb is given here. The inner helmet consists of thin plastic strips. The holder of the headband and the chin strap are also riveted to the helmet bell. The chin strap can be adjusted in length. At helmet number 1008, Vietnam, the inner helmet has been made significantly more massive. |
