0840 Fire helmet from Germany. The helmet shells shown here, are part of the development of the helmet HPS4500 from Dräger Safety, which was presented for the first time on June 8, 2015 at Interschutz in Hanover. For more information on the helmet please see helmet number 0866, Germany or the corresponding manufacturer link.
The helmet shells were tested destructively within the framework of the standard tests according to EN 443: 2008 and were evaluated with the result "passed".

Helmet shell 840/6
The helmet shell is painted black (lacquered). The traces of the test can be seen on the far right side. In the so-called penetration test under the effect of heat radiation, the helmet is first of all heated with a heat of 14 kW / m 2, 8 minutes. This corresponds to a temperature of approx. 250 ° C. Then follow the test. A 1000 g, pointed body is dropped from a height of 2m to the heated spot on the helmet. The tip should not penetrate the helmet shell. The label on the right is: No.14 - 14kW @ 8min. - T head 30 °. The PUR shell and a part of the interior are already installed in the helmet shell.

Helmet shell 840/8
The helmet shell is painted black matt (without clear lacquer). The helmet shell was subjected to the penetration test. The label on the right is: No.7 - 14kW @ 8min. - 30 ° - without clear lacquer. The PUR shell and a part of the interior are already installed in the helmet shell.

Helmet shell 840/10
The helmet shell is painted differently. On the sides it is yellow, on the top it is black and apparently also varnished with clear lacquer. An inscription does not have the shell, nor any external signs of a destructive test. Possibly this helmet shell was subjected to an insulation test. The PUR shell and a part of the interior are already installed in the helmet shell.

Helmet shell 840/11
The helmet shell is painted black (lacquered). The helmet shell was subjected to the penetration test. There is no labeling like the shells 840/6 and 840/8. The PUR shell and a part of the interior are already installed in the helmet shell.

Helmet shell 840/12
The helmet shell is painted differently. On the sides it is still a little yellow, but in the main one black painted without clear lacquer.
