Firefighter helmet from the Chilean capital Santiago de Chile. For details of the helmet, see helmet number 0318, Chile. The glass fiber helmet was first used as a normel helmet for emergencies from 1960 onwards. In the 1990s did helmets from other manufacturers find use and these helmets were used now for parade purposes. While other helmets have the number of the company at the front, here is a brass star and a brass plate with the inscription "Superintendente". The Superintendente is the chief officer of the fire brigade Santiago de Chile. Beside the Commandante (commander) the highest officer of the 22 companies. At present (2016) this position accompanies to ERICK FOLCH GARBARINI from the 13th company. To mark the degree of leadership, the helmet ist white. Officers have a black helmet with white comb and the crew uses a black helmet. (See helmet 0740, Chile). |
