Fire helmet from Luxembourg. The fire helmet is basically a French fire helmet. The helmet is based on the Adrian M26 army helmet, but was built as a M33 with a new comb for the fire brigade. The helmet was thus used in almost all French fire brigades until the beginning of the 1980s. See helmets 38/385/452, France. The fire brigade of Luxembourg was influenced, at least by the fire brigade helmets, by France. Thus the fire department of the duchy was equipped with the Adrian helmets. On the front of the helmet there is the badge with was used in France but it have the text "Sapeurs Pompiers de Luxembourg". This text is used for all fire brigades in the country. In addition to this lettering, there was also the text "Sapeurs Pompiers Luxembourg Ville" for the city of Luxembourg. The successor is the newly developed Gallet F1 helmet from 1986. See helmet 307, France. |
