France Synthetic helmet (˜1960)
In this collection since: 20.01.2014
0567 Fire helmet from France. The gray plastic helmet was built in the period between 1960 and 1970. It is inspired by the former fire helmets type Adrian. (See helmet 366). The helmet has no attachments. Comb and emblem are cast together with the helmet bowl. While in the fire service is on the badge of the lettering “Sapeur Pompiers” and the appropriate city, here stands “Sapeur Pompiers Jeunes” (Youth fire brigade). The inside helmet, made of polycarbonate, can be adapted to the head size. It is fastened with two rivets on the helmet bowl. The chin strap is made of leather. According to my information, these are actually not a toy but a helmet of the French Youth Fire Department.
