“CALISIA” helmet for fire-fighters, type: AK-06/2009 conform to EN 443:2008 norm

CALISIA helmet for fire-fighters, type: AK-06/2009 was designed to protect the head from injury during drills, rescue-fire fighting missions, control of damage done during road accidents as well as other actions performed by fire-fighters.

Characteristics:
1) the shell of the helmet is made of polyester Kevlar-glass laminate, is made of photoluminescent colour
2) shock-absorbing insert made of polyurethane foam, strengthened with an inner bowl, which provides maximum technical resistance and stroke-absorption.
3) face protector (visor) which can be hidden inside, is made of polycarbonate covered with hardening coat, provides resistance to flame, chemicals, infra-red radiation
4) supporting belt with tapes made of polyamide
5) chin belts with a clip, made of Nomex fabric, 22mm wide with black leather cover
6) switching plate, made of polyamide with glass fibre
7) retention belt equipped with a regulating system (52-63 cm), made of polyamide and leather

The helmet is conform to all provisions of EN 443:2008 norm, which requires
more rigorous tests then the previous version of it, including:

- combustibility test in flames of temperature 950ºC ± 50ºC prior to warming in temperature of 90ºC for 15 minutes
- test on resistance to molten iron spill
- test on resistance of face protector (sight) to chemicals, including hydrochloric acid, sodium hydroxide, P-xylene, n-heptane, butane
- test on resistance to heat flux intensity of 14kW/m² at exposure time of 480s
- test on resistance to penetration of elevated parameters; energy 24,50J, in temperature of -30ºC and +50ºC
- test on stroke-absorption in extreme conditions, temperatures -30ºC; 50ºC; 100ºC in
water and after thermal radiation
- test on resistance to hot solids (steel ball of temperature of 900ºC)
- test on retention system effectiveness

Extra equipment:
- fixed with a clip-on collar (nape of the neck protection)
- torch with a switch, attached to the helmet with a holder
- mask fixed to the helmet with a holder: usage of FENZY PANO and MSA AUER Ultra Elite recommended
