Aluminum helmet (˜1960)
In this collection since: 14.12.2012 |
0452 |
Fire helmet from Strasbourg, France. The shape corresponds to the former military helmet, type Adrian. The helmet is made from aluminium, chrome-plated. The fittings are made of brass; the peripheral edge is made of brass also. Later this was also chromed. Operating time approx 1950 – 70. Opposite to helmet number 38, the helmet is higher and not so great. The coat of arms bears, instead of the commonly used word "Sapeur Pompiers" and the place names, the large coat of arms of Strasbourg that even today (2012) is supported on the current MSA Gallet helmets.
Today, this helmet is worn only for parades or ceremonies.
