Honduras Synthetic helmet (˜2002)

0423 Fire helmet from the capital city of Honduras, Tegucigalpa. The helmet is made of Kevlar, painted yellow. The helmet was in use by the National Fire Brigade, not at a communal volunteer fire department. It was last worn at Tegucigalpa Airport. The airport in the capital city is under military regulatory, but is operated by a private company. The helmet was manufactured 09/2002. The manufacturer is the New Zealand company "Pacific Helmets Ltd., Wanganui, New Zealand". Helmet Type: F3DK / 2 produced according to EN443 / AS4067-1997 (European Standard and Australian Standard). The helmet has an eye protection, an optional neck protection made of Nomex is not mounted. Inside the helmet, an energy absorbing system for protection against shock from the top is added. Outside on the backside, the note to the material Kevlar is attached. The predecessor to this helmet type (helmet number 98) which was made in 1994 is still made of fiberglass.
At the front of the helmet, the metal insignia of the fire department of Honduras is attached.
