Fire Helmet from Spain. The heavy leather helmet is from Barcelona, Catalonia. This helmet was worn in 1930 when it began to replace the thill then used brass helmets with new generations. The leather helmet has a brass crest and a rotating edge protection from brass. At the front there is a fire department badge. It shows a burning castle tower, two crossed axes and a hose. The helmet crest ends relatively far back, extends only slightly above the middle of the helmet. At the front is a chin strap attached, it is to decoration at best. It is held at the side of two brass buttons. On them, there is another fire symbol and the word "Bombero" can be seen. Inside the helmet is dropped on a large baffle head, the helmet interior leather is in excellent condition. |
