Poland Synthetic helmet (˜2005)
In this collection since: 15.11.2011
0395 Fire helmet of the Firefighters School Warsaw, Poland. The red helmet made of fiberglass composite material was developed by the Polish company KZPT (KALISKIE ZAKŁADY PRZEMYSŁU TERENOWEGO) produced in Kalisz, the type is called ZS 03/06. The helmet is the continuous development of the model PH5z/2000 (see Helm 389). The helmet was built from 2003 and in according to EN443/1999 and it is still (2011) available. He is very similar to its predecessor, but he has a serious innovation. The visor according to EN166 is no longer on the outside, it is fitted inside the helmet now. The helmet and the crest are much wider and higher now. The inside helmet of the predecessor has been expanded by a hair net. The attachment of a breathing mask is also taken from its predecessor. Rear is a very long, broad, now white neck protection leather buttoned with snaps. The five reflective stickers remained. The helmet is available in two versions. In addition to this ZS03/06 with smaller helmet shell and a small visor, there is the Z09, which was built according to EN443/2008 and wich has a parabolic visor.
The ZS03/06 is still worn by Polish professional fire brigades.
