Czechia Synthetic helmet (˜1940)
In this collection since: 13.02.2011
0372 Fire helmet from the former Czechoslovakia. The black vulcanized fiber helmet with a thin, highly plastic comb and brass trim on the eyes and neck shield dates from around 1940. Model for this form was the helmets, used in Austria and the K & K monarchy at this time. The badge, attached to the front, with hook- ladders and axes, includes also the coat of arms of the country in the middle. It shows, the at the association of Czech Republic and Slovenia (1918) assembled coat of arms parts, the two-tailed lion and the double cross. The inner helmet is made of leather, also the chin strap. The chin strap will continue in the helmet, thus forming a head rest. Inside, the helmet is equipped with a coating.
