South-Korea Synthetic helmet (˜2003)

0332 South Korean firefighter helmet from the city of Tae-baek. The blue plastic helmet is made of polycarbonate by the firm Sancheong. The helmet model is the fifth version, which exist in South Korea. With the helmets of the emergency services together, there are seven versions. The helmet is currently being worn, it was introduced in 2003. Firefighters have a black helmet with a bright yellow stickers on the side boards, Officers have the same helmet in blue. By end 2002, firefighters wore the yellow helmet, Officers a white one. The helmet is similar in form to the American models. Striking is the long, aluminum-coated nack protection which is shorter than on the helmet number 196. The very stable inside helmet gives a very good seat, the chin strap made of nylon is closed by a sturdy plastic clasp, the length adjustment via a Velcro closure. The eye protection is relatively short. The edges of the helmet are lined with an edge protection made of soft PVC, the helmet can be suspended by a loop at the rear end. The inside helmet allows an adjustment of the head size by a knob.
The type of helmet is SCA-PH-01, he is now (2009) as a model 1205-AN resulted.
The company Sancheong is a company based in South Korea.
