Fire department cap (˜1995)

Cap the fire service of South Africa. The hat, made of blue fabric, was made by the company FG Uniform Distributors in Cape Town. The cap is without conspicuous rank insignia, simple eye shield made of black plastic, green inside. The rand (stocking strip) is a 35mm wide woven cotton tape. The chinstrap is made of black plastic sides with plastic rivets attached. At the front is a silver-colored plastic badge affixed. It shows, in a laurel wreath, an old, in South Africa worned helmet, behind two crossed axes. |
