0283 Fire helmet from Croatia. Manufacturer is the company PAB Plastika Akrapovic Buzet. The helmet type is called PAB Fire 03. The helmet was produced in 2004. It is approved according to EN443 and HRN Z.B1.400. Its adjustable head size is between 54 and 62cm. Predecessors are the models PAB Fire from 1999 to 2002 (number 0210, Croatia) and PAB Fire 02 from 2002 to 2004. (number 0946, Croatia)

The company PAB describes the helmet as follows:
PAB Fire is a constructive solution, develop according to the basic concepts of the European standard EN443 and the national standard HRN Z.B1.400 for the professional fireman.
Purpose:
All-round protection for the head in every fire use, All-round protection for the head in the rescue service use and industrial protection. The helmet bowl is made from a heavy inflammable ABS/PA Copolimer against temperatures to 140 degrees Celsius. There is a certificate for the helmet according to the ÖNORM EN443. The number of the examination is: BMB 99- 633/634.
The visor wich can put into the helmet bowl, is from a tinted, heavy inflammable Polycarbonat.
Moved out the visor enlarges the all around protection of the helmet bowl completely without a lateral gap. The inside basket can be adjusted by size 54 to 62 by means of a hand wheel. The chinstrap can be closed by a modern seal. A flourescent ribbon which is silver reflecting as well as a yellow flourescent ribbon is attached almost circulatingly. The badge of the Croatian fire departments can be seen at the front. The helmet all in all makes a very stable and well worn impression, the inside helmet is covered with leather, the chinstrap could be altered by a velcro. The yellow helmet itself isn't flourescent. The manufacturer indicates the use time with 4 year. The use of a breath protective mask according to DIN EN 136 is possible, to this the adjusted helmet must taken off, the mask put on after which again the helmet.
