Modern fire helmet from a Croatian production. The manufacturer is the company, PAB, Plastika Akrapovic Buzet. The helmet typ is: PAB COMPACT III FF. The company PAB describes the helmet as follows: PAB, woods firefighting helmet according to EN 397, HRN Z.B1.031 (Croatia) and NFPA 1977/1988 (America). This helmet was developed and formed exclusively for the woods firefighting. He is based on the concept of the EN, the HRN and NFPA. Purpose is the protection at forest fires as well as protection at works in the industry. The principle is the protection of the head, the neck and the eyes by a clear visor from Polycarbonat wich one can put into the helmet bowl. The helmet bowl is made from a heavy inflammable ABS/PA Copolimer against temperatures to 140 degrees Celsius. The helmet has good, blow absorbing qualities. The helmet bowl is strengthened by lengthways going ribs. For the adaptation to the head size the helmets are adjustable from 54 -62 cm. The inside helmet consists of a flame-retarding synthetic material. The chinstrap made of cotton is provided with a fast seal which must be adjusted to the fireman only at the beginning. The neck leather can be unbuttoned by the helmet bowl. As accessories a battery operated lamp can be attached at the helmet. The inside helmet and the face protection gives it as a spare part. The yellow helmet with his eye shield resembles to the German work helmets. The helmet bowl is low-cut at the ears, silver reflex stripes are appropriate at the side and above. |
