Swaziland Synthetic helmet (˜1985)

0276 Fire helmet of the professional fire department of the city of Lobamba, Ezulwini Valley, Mbabane, Kingdom of Swaziland. The yellow Polycarbonat helmet was produced by the company "Quality Safety" in the capital of Mozambique, Maputo. See helmet no.: 217. The helmet was produced according to the South African guidelines of the "SABS" South African Bureau of standards according to the SABS norm 397. The norm of 1983 defines "Safety helmets for industrial use and for firemen". The helmet is equipped with an edge protection rubber coating circulatingly, the helmet bell inside with a PU foam as a blow absorption on resoled. The inside helmet is plugged in to mead latches which are on riveted at the helmet bell inside. The inside helmet is missing here. The chinstrap is made of Polyester , the seal made of synthetic material. The helmet gets so used in this form today. A neck guard can be fastened to the helmet bell by a velcro system. Originally the helmet had a plexiglas visor which is held by means of lateral metal fastenings and knurled screws. The visor and a mount are missing here. The badge of the fire departments Swaziland is at the front of the helmet. The badge shows the national coat of arms of Swaziland on a silver star. A white black shield with spears lying behind this. Fire service Swaziland stands on the coat of arms.
