Fire helmet made of steel. The black helmet is a steel helmet from the russian red army turned into the fire helmet. The use of armed forces articles in the fire department wasn't not unsual in the GDR. He has unlike helmet no.: 32 no add-on ball visor. The helmet at approx. 1970 bears a white badge (sticker) at the front. This shows a beam pipe and a fire department ax crossed. In front of this a typical helmet with ball visor and neck leather. The badge is a typical creation from the former GDR. The Storz clutch and the beam pipe manufactured to TGL (East German norm) show a German origin. The badge was far common in the DDR in the area of the fire protection and is characteristic for fire departments of the new federal states today certainly. |
