Leather helmet, Swiss normal type at 1910. The leather helmet is presumably from the German Offenbach / Main, like many Swiss leather helmets. The helmets were manufactured individually as required there. This got a high brass comb in three corner form, a signpost edging from Mesing in front and at the side Brass rosettes with the Swiss cross to fastening the chinstrap. The helmet size 57 is unusual, because in the past the people was considerably smaller, then today. The H at the front indicated the hydrant team. The helmet is in an excellent condition. |
