0073 Fire helmet of the work fire department UNOX in the Dutch city of Oss. The manufacturer is the American company MSA (mine Safety Appliances company, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania USA), Model: Brigade. Production year approx. 1986. The helmet was worn till the end of 1980, then he was taken off by the helmet no.: 90, this new helmet is called Innova 2000. The synthetic material helmet has a very robust material strength. In front with visor, behind with an appropriate short rubber neck guard. Very thick upholstery from PU foam inside. The so-called "Dutchman cloth" is fastened to the internal helmet. It reaches to the back behind, lateral except for the shoulders and can protect the neck area with velcros in front. The chinstrap can be locked in place and altered. The visor is firmly appropriate at the side and can be stated. The white helmet bears the badge of the Dutch fire department on the outside in front. Furthermore yellow "3 M" reflex sticker are respectively in front at the side and behind assembled. "Meets CAL OSHA" stands on a signpost inside. Despite his serious appearance the helmet is relatively light with 37 OZ! This corresponds to 1.08 kg. Every fireman to fire chiefs traditionally wore a black helmet. The higher officers a white one. White helmets, however, are visible better, almost all helmets are white in Holland in the meantime there. Some fire departments have kept the color system, however. 2005 the rearrangement to persistent helmet colors starts.
